The image above was drawn after the party website. According to the information found on that website, the crescent represents affection, national and spiritual values. The five stars represents happiness. The flag was adopted in August 2001.

According to the photos found at the photo gallery of the Happiness Party website, the party also uses the flag with reversed colours (red charges on a white field). Both flags also have vertical variants.
